# Databases

> See the databases shared with you, their tables and row counts, and how June reads them in a chat.

A database holds structured data that stays put between chats, such as the records a skill works from. The **Databases** page shows the ones available to you: each database by name, with its tables and how many rows each holds.

## See your databases

Open **Databases** from the menu behind your avatar, or press **⌘K** (**Ctrl+K**) and pick it under Go to. The page updates on its own when the data changes. It lists up to 20 databases.

## Ask June about the data

Name the database and what you want to find, such as a count, a comparison or a list of records. A database comes with a skill that uses it. While June works with that skill, it can read the database: it looks up the tables and runs read-only queries, up to 200 rows at a time.

> Example prompt: How many open leads are in my database, and which ones have not been contacted this month?

If a database is missing from the page, it is not available to your account there. If June cannot read one that is listed, name it in your request and say which skill normally uses it; starting a new chat does not grant access.

## What June does not do

- It does not create a database, on the page or from a chat.
- It does not change data: June reads databases and never writes to them.
- It does not read a database outside the skill it belongs to.
- It does not show the rows on the **Databases** page, or let you export or delete a database there.
