# Getting started

> Get your first useful result, then bring your files, tools, phone, and team when you need them.

Start by asking June for a draft you can review. You can use facts you paste into the chat; connect an app only when the task needs something from that account.

## Start here

1. Choose **Start with June** on the home page and create your account, or sign in to an account you already have.
2. Follow [Your first chat](/docs/getting-started/first-chat). You will draft a reminder, review it, and refine the wording without connecting another app.
3. Bring a real task. Attach a [file](/docs/chat/files), connect a tool on the **Integrations** page, or choose a [recipe](/docs/recipes) to follow.

_Demo: Start with an outcome you can review. A draft in the chat is yours to edit and use._

## Use June where you work

- [Your first chat](/docs/getting-started/first-chat): One task from the first message to a useful draft. No connected tools needed.
- [The mobile app](/docs/getting-started/mobile-app): Take your chats with you, share files into June, and get notifications.
- [June in Slack](/docs/getting-started/slack): Add June to your workspace and learn when it replies in channels and direct messages.

Use the same account on the web and in the app to keep working in your chats. Slack has its own setup and reply rules; the Slack guide walks through them.

## What to learn next

- [Chat](/docs/chat) shows how to ask, review, stop, and steer.
- [Follow-ups](/docs/follow-ups) explains the difference between a reminder and a check that does new work later.
- [Models and who pays](/docs/models) helps you choose a model and the plan or key behind it.
- [Troubleshooting](/docs/troubleshooting) starts with the problem you can see.
