# Skills

> The written instructions June follows for particular kinds of work, and where to read them on the Skills page.

A skill is a set of written instructions for one kind of work, such as research with sources or editing your schedules. When a request matches a skill's name, description, tags or typical phrasings, June loads its instructions and follows them. You do not switch skills on: June picks the one that fits.

## See your skills

The **Skills** page lists the skills your account has. Each card shows the skill's name, what it is for and its tags; open "How this skill works" on a card to read the full instructions June follows.

These skills are available to every account today. A skill supplies instructions; it does not connect an account or add access to private data:

| Skill | What it is for |
| :------------------------ | :-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Daily Growth Partner** | Coaching with daily challenges and check-ins that keep you accountable |
| **Schedule Editor** | Changing, removing and bulk-editing the schedules you already have |
| **Web Research** | Researching a topic on the web and summarizing it with sources |
| **X Context Research** | Reading an X post with its whole conversation, quoted posts, articles and media |
| **X Bookmark Synthesis** | Collecting, sorting and summarizing your X bookmarks |
| **First-line Escalation** | Requests June cannot finish in the conversation: it handles what it can, asks for what is missing, and says plainly when it cannot help |

The X skills need an X connection on the **Integrations** page.

> Example prompt: Research the three biggest invoicing tools for small agencies and compare them with sources

> Example prompt: Read the X thread I linked above with its replies and quoted posts and tell me what people actually disagree about

If June cannot use a skill that needs an integration, connect that service on the [Integrations page](/docs/integrations) and ask again. For a specific source, include its link in your request.

## Skills and agents

An [agent](/docs/agents) can carry skills of its own, bundled with it when it is designed. Those apply only when you hand that agent a task; they do not show on the **Skills** page.

## What June does not do

- It does not let you add, edit or switch off a skill on the **Skills** page: the page is for reading.
- It does not give every account every skill: a skill that is limited to certain accounts does not show on the page of an account without it.
- It does not treat a skill as permission: a skill says how to do a kind of work, and June still needs the integration or access the work requires.
